craft vira prova de valor. N=C3=A3o =C3=A9 sobre nostalgia: =C3=A9 sobre v=
erdade. Longe da moda, o movimento =C3=A9 o mesmo. Makerspaces, repair caf=

n=C3=A7=C3=A3o. Um saber-fazer que se torna ativo de marca, diferencial de =
produto, compet=C3=AAncia de futuro. Mas aten=C3=A7=C3=A3o: h=C3=A1 um risc=
o claro de craftwashing - marcas sem lastro tentando vestir um discurso man=

do respeito ao nosso patrim=C3=B4nio cultural - nossa m=C3=BAsica, arquite=
tura, arte e design. Esse patrim=C3=B4nio inquestion=C3=A1vel impulsiona no=
ssa identidade e nos coloca em p=C3=A9 de igualdade com outras culturas, ca=
rregando a maestria =C3=BAnica de grandes autores como Niemeyer, Tom Jobim,=
Tarsila do Amaral, Zalszupin e Lina, para citar alguns. No Brasil, por mui=
to tempo, a assinatura do criador foi tratada como um detalhe secund=C3=A1r=
io, quando na verdade ela concentra hist=C3=B3ria, pesquisa e responsabilid=

de se uma pe=C3=A7a =C3=A9, de fato, valiosa? O que pesa mais hoje na conso=
lida=C3=A7=C3=A3o do design autoral: o reconhecimento local ou a chancela i=
nternacional?
Valor =C3=A9 um campo de for=C3=A7as, profundamente ligado =C3=A0 excel=C3=
=AAncia e =C3=A0 qualidade das obras. Muitas pe=C3=A7as reconhecidas como v=
aliosas s=C3=A3o, de fato, obras-primas: atemporais, inovadoras em seu temp=
o, inauguraram conceitos e est=C3=A9ticas. Possuem valor hist=C3=B3rico e d=
e produto - pela excel=C3=AAncia em concep=C3=A7=C3=A3o e execu=C3=A7=C3=A3=
o. O mercado frequentemente dita o valor, as institui=C3=A7=C3=B5es legitim=
am e o olhar cr=C3=ADtico da cultura consolida. No design, a for=C3=A7a est=
=C3=A1 justamente na interse=C3=A7=C3=A3o desses vetores. O reconhecimento =
local =C3=A9 vital: ele ancora a obra em sua terra de origem e lhe d=C3=A1 =
ra=C3=ADzes. J=C3=A1 a chancela internacional amplia horizontes e insere o =
design brasileiro em um di=C3=A1logo global. O verdadeiro desafio est=C3=A1=
em equilibrar esses polos sem submeter a cria=C3=A7=C3=A3o a uma l=C3=B3gi=
ca meramente comercial.

=A9 apagar a mem=C3=B3ria cultural que ele representa. No setor criativo, i=
sso gera desest=C3=ADmulo e empobrecimento; no plano simb=C3=B3lico, enfraq=
uece a credibilidade do design brasileiro dentro e fora do pa=C3=ADs. A ree=
di=C3=A7=C3=A3o criteriosa - que envolve, impreterivelmente, as fontes prim=
=C3=A1rias (fam=C3=ADlias, institui=C3=A7=C3=B5es ou o pr=C3=B3prio autor, =
quando vivo), que carrega excel=C3=AAncia t=C3=A9cnica e respeita os desenh=
os e hist=C3=B3rias originais - =C3=A9 a =C3=BAnica forma de gerar o valor =
que o modernismo brasileiro merece. A reedi=C3=A7=C3=A3o feita com maestria=
=C3=A9 um ato simb=C3=B3lico de afirma=C3=A7=C3=A3o do nosso patrim=C3=B4n=

utoral brasileiro contempor=C3=A2neo seja celebrado mundo afora como refer=
=C3=AAncia - e n=C3=A3o apenas lembrado pontualmente como exce=C3=A7=C3=A3o?
O design brasileiro j=C3=A1 conta com nomes de proje=C3=A7=C3=A3o internaci=
onal - Oscar Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi e Jorge Zalszupin s=C3=A3o refer=C3=AA=
ncias celebradas na Europa, =C3=81sia e Am=C3=A9ricas. Os Irm=C3=A3os Campa=
na, como contempor=C3=A2neos, abriram caminhos e romperam barreiras de visi=
bilidade. Mas n=C3=A3o estamos restritos a eles: h=C3=A1 hoje uma gera=C3=
=A7=C3=A3o de jovens designers brasileiros com enorme sofistica=C3=A7=C3=A3=
o e pot=C3=AAncia criativa. O desafio =C3=A9 estrutural: precisamos de pol=
=C3=ADticas culturais e institui=C3=A7=C3=B5es s=C3=B3lidas que sustentem e=
ssa presen=C3=A7a de maneira aut=C3=AAntica e cont=C3=ADnua, consolidando o=
design autoral brasileiro como refer=C3=AAncia global - e n=C3=A3o como ex=
ce=C3=A7=C3=A3o. Falta um projeto de pa=C3=ADs que enxergue no design autor=
al n=C3=A3o apenas uma express=C3=A3o est=C3=A9tica, mas uma ferramenta de =
identidade e proje=C3=A7=C3=A3o internacional. Mais uma vez, tudo come=C3=
=A7a com o respeito =C3=A0 autoria - que =C3=A9 tamb=C3=A9m incentivo =C3=
=A0 cria=C3=A7=C3=A3o e for=C3=A7a motriz do setor. Quando o Brasil reconhe=
cer seu design como patrim=C3=B4nio cultural, o reconhecimento global deixa=
r=C3=A1 de ser epis=C3=B3dico para tornar-se estrutural.

interessante compartilhar. O texto soa quase como um diagn=C3=B3stico. A sa=
mple sale da The Row =C3=A9 o ponto de partida: roupas caras, marca car=C3=
=ADssima, uma das mais desejadas do planeta. O resultado foi previs=C3=ADve=
l: filas por horas para comprar pe=C3=A7as com descontos generosos, num rar=
o momento ruidoso para uma casa s=C3=ADmbolo do =E2=80=9Cquiet luxury=E2=80=
=9D. O autor lembra por que a The Row virou objeto de culto: imagem control=
ada ao extremo, produto impec=C3=A1vel, nenhuma vontade de agradar todo mun=
