Nesta semana ministrei a palestra =E2=80=9CQuando o luxo muda de casa=E2=80=
=9D - e v=C3=A1rias perguntas dos participantes me levaram de volta a um te=
ma que venho observando: o luxo que vem a=C3=AD =C3=A9 outro. O relat=C3=B3=
rio White Paper Luxury Redefined 2025, produzido pela Highsnobiety e pelo B=
oston Consulting Group, confirma o que j=C3=A1 se pressentia - o mercado de=
luxo est=C3=A1 em uma mudan=C3=A7a de paradigma, onde a l=C3=B3gica do =E2=
=80=9Cmais=E2=80=9D e do =E2=80=9Cnovo=E2=80=9D cede espa=C3=A7o ao que =C3=
=A9 significativo, consistente e culturalmente fluente. O estudo ouviu 6.00=
0 consumidores de luxo em 11 mercados globais, e o diagn=C3=B3stico =C3=A9 =
claro: Os compradores de luxo n=C3=A3o est=C3=A3o rejeitando o luxo em si -=
est=C3=A3o rejeitando ideias ultrapassadas de luxo. Eles querem marcas que=
os entendam, que conversem com eles, e n=C3=A3o para eles. A crise atual n=
=C3=A3o =C3=A9 de consumo, =C3=A9 de credibilidade. O consumidor de luxo co=
ntempor=C3=A2neo est=C3=A1 mais inteligente e exigente - espera que as marc=
as sejam t=C3=A3o espertas quanto ele, sen=C3=A3o mais. E as que prosperam =
agora n=C3=A3o s=C3=A3o necessariamente as mais chamativas, mas as que sabe=
m o que est=C3=A3o dizendo - e por qu=C3=AA. Segundo o relat=C3=B3rio, os m=
otivadores mais fortes de desejabilidade hoje s=C3=A3o: Qualidade e artesan=
ato; Designs exclusivos; Valores claros e coerentes; Independ=C3=AAncia da =
marca; Atemporalidade e heran=C3=A7a; Presen=C3=A7a digital com prop=C3=B3s=
ito, n=C3=A3o performance. Enquanto isso, fatores antes considerados essenc=
iais - como diretores criativos celebrados, colabora=C3=A7=C3=B5es limitada=
s ou experi=C3=AAncias de varejo envolventes - perderam for=C3=A7a. A novid=
ade passou a soar fr=C3=ADvola; o hype, cansativo. Os consumidores de luxo =
de 2025 valorizam flu=C3=AAncia cultural: querem marcas que tenham voz, rep=
ert=C3=B3rio e respeito pelo tempo. N=C3=A3o h=C3=A1 espa=C3=A7o para discu=
rsos vazios - as marcas ser=C3=A3o medidas por aquilo que sabem fazer bem, =
e n=C3=A3o pelo que tentam parecer. O luxo redefinido =C3=A9 o da subst=C3=
=A2ncia sobre o espet=C3=A1culo, o da narrativa sobre o ru=C3=ADdo, o da co=
er=C3=AAncia sobre a pressa. E, talvez, o grande sinal dos tempos seja este=
: o novo desejo =C3=A9 n=C3=A3o parecer desesperado por desejabilidade.
Quando a Novidade Perde For=C3=A7a: O Valor da Perman=C3=AAncia no Tempo da=
Satura=C3=A7=C3=A3o
Na mesma palestra, uma pergunta ecoou: =E2=80=9CA novidade ainda =C3=A9 um =
valor?=E2=80=9D =C3=80 luz do White Paper Luxury Redefined 2025, a resposta=
=C3=A9 mais complexa do que parece - e talvez, mais reveladora. Vivemos a =
era em que tudo =C3=A9 novo o tempo todo, e justamente por isso, a novidade=
perdeu seu encanto. Com acesso ilimitado a qualquer =C3=A9poca, tend=C3=AA=
ncia ou arquivo, o =E2=80=9Cnovo=E2=80=9D j=C3=A1 n=C3=A3o tem vantagem emo=
cional - tornou-se abundante, previs=C3=ADvel, e, portanto, descart=C3=A1ve=
l. O relat=C3=B3rio mostra que o p=C3=BAblico de luxo est=C3=A1 cansado de =
marcas que pulam de um truque a outro. =E2=80=9CTente satisfazer a todos, e=
n=C3=A3o satisfar=C3=A1 ningu=C3=A9m.=E2=80=9D A frase, que resume o esp=
=C3=ADrito do momento, revela uma rejei=C3=A7=C3=A3o crescente =C3=A0 super=
ficialidade de um mercado que se move por algoritmos, e n=C3=A3o por prop=
=C3=B3sito. Os dados apontam um deslocamento n=C3=ADtido: 40% dos consumido=
res de luxo dizem que raramente notam publicidade; 25% dos compradores insp=
iram-se em marcas de luxo, mas n=C3=A3o compram, por n=C3=A3o verem valor n=
o pre=C3=A7o da marca; e 80% apreciam quando as marcas fazem refer=C3=AAnci=
as culturais sutis; que ressoam com intelig=C3=AAncia e identidade. A novid=
ade virou um ciclo sem f=C3=B4lego. O consumidor quer pe=C3=A7as com alma, =
hist=C3=B3ria e inten=C3=A7=C3=A3o, e n=C3=A3o uma sequ=C3=AAncia de virais=
sem sentido. O sucesso de m=C3=BAsicas antigas no topo das paradas, o reto=
rno do vintage e o resgate de cole=C3=A7=C3=B5es de arquivo (como as Re-Edi=
tions da Prada ou da Cassina) s=C3=A3o reflexos dessa nostalgia moderna: um=
a vontade de parar o rel=C3=B3gio em meio ao ru=C3=ADdo. Na moda e no desig=
n, a perman=C3=AAncia voltou a ser um luxo. E o valor da marca n=C3=A3o est=
=C3=A1 mais em lan=C3=A7ar o pr=C3=B3ximo =E2=80=9Cit=E2=80=9D, mas em sust=
entar o que j=C3=A1 =C3=A9 essencial - seu prop=C3=B3sito. O luxo, afinal, =
n=C3=A3o est=C3=A1 morto. Est=C3=A1 apenas mais silencioso, mais consciente=
e infinitamente mais dif=C3=ADcil de falsificar.
O mercado de luxo est=C3=A1 sendo resgatado por consumidores mais experient=
es, mais intencionais e menos entusiasmados com o hype. As marcas que defin=
ir=C3=A3o a pr=C3=B3xima era n=C3=A3o s=C3=A3o necessariamente as mais cham=
ativas, maiores ou mesmo as mais inovadoras, mas aquelas que ouvem melhor -=
que trocam o espet=C3=A1culo pela subst=C3=A2ncia e o status pela narrativ=
a. Em um mercado saturado de mesmice, a autenticidade =C3=A9 o novo luxo. N=
o meu olhar, isto importa para quem morre com a est=C3=A9tica e vive da cul=
tura: o objeto de desejo da pr=C3=B3xima era ser=C3=A1 aquele que d=C3=A1 s=
entido, conta hist=C3=B3ria - n=C3=A3o apenas ostenta etiqueta.

=A7amento=E2=80=9D imediato, quando o verdadeiro luxo do design est=C3=A1 n=
o tempo que uma ideia precisa para se tornar relevante. O rei nu =C3=A9 ess=
a corrida incessante, que muitas vezes encobre a qualidade e nos distancia =
do essencial: criar algo que fa=C3=A7a sentido para as pessoas e para o pla=
neta.
A Rebeldia da Perman=C3=AAncia: Quando a Arte Antiga Vira o Novo Desejo dos=
Millennials
A nova edi=C3=A7=C3=A3o da Frieze Masters, que acontece entre 15 e 19 de ou=
tubro em Londres, reacende uma pergunta que vem me intrigando. Como observa=
dora do comportamento e do consumo que moldam o modo de morar, pergunto: po=
r que tantos jovens colecionadores est=C3=A3o comprando obras de arte antig=
as? Numa =C3=A9poca em que tudo =C3=A9 ef=C3=AAmero, ver millennials fascin=
ados por telas seculares parece quase uma rebeldia est=C3=A9tica. Em entrev=
ista recente ao Artnet News, Emanuela Tarizzo, a nova diretora da feira, ex=
plicou que o interesse n=C3=A3o =C3=A9 saudosismo, mas desejo de profundida=
de: =E2=80=9CEssas obras ancoram o colecionador em uma hist=C3=B3ria humana=
